I recently watched the second part of the 1986 movie Top Gun and, in one word, it was phenomenal!
I wanted to become a pilot when I was a child and had a keen interest in aeroplanes back then. But then I grew up and realised it was not an easy task and I lost my interest slowly and gradually. But, watching movies like these somehow fulfills the childhood desire to fly a plane!
Top Gun is one such movie. The story revolves around Captain Pete Mitchell, the Top Gun graduate who is called back to the navy for yet another challenging mission.
The length of the movie is perfect, and the BGM score is good. You could really feel the tension and hear the sounds of fighter jets whooshing into the air. The best part of the movie is the final dogfight between fighter jets! I’m not sure how they managed to film that.
Tom Cruise was stunning as usual. He was riding bikes, fighter jets, and running as expected! The visuals were stunning, and I wished I had seen this in a cinema hall. It would be a one-time cinematic experience. Sad but I have missed it now.
