Bell Bottom is a great story but I did not like the direction

So, writing after a long time, I guess. I saw Akshay Kumar’s latest movie ‘Bell Bottom’ today and kind of liked the story and will probably read more about this RAW agent. If you have some links or something you can share with me in the comments below.

Coming to the story(as per the movie), it is set in 1980’s and is about a brilliant person who’s a chess player, can speak multiple languages, and is also preparing for UPSC exam. But, destiny takes a turn and his mother dies in a ‘Hijack’ incident which were in reality quite prevalent in 1980’s India! But, was it an incident or is there some story to it, makes the rest of the movie.

Bell Bottom is based on real incidents but as usual in movies directors have ‘Freedom’ to cinematise some incidents to make it entertaining and watchable. And, this exactly where problem starts.

It is good to cinematise some parts but these directors just add some some stupid action sequels in the name of freedom. Plus, the low quality visuals makes it even worse. They did the same thing in ‘Bhuj’! Bhuj was such a nice story but the visuals and acting just destroyed it!

Another thing, ‘Why the fuck do you have to put a song everywhere?’ There’s a part in Bell Bottom where the story of our ‘hero’ is narrated and there too a love song!

Bell Bottom is watchable but it could be way better than it is now. Anyway, that’s the review for today, I will come up with another after my next watch.
