Psychokinesis is a funny, silly comedy movie

Hey folks! So, I watched this Korean action-comedy movie, ‘Psychokinesis‘ today. Although I was not in the mood for a comedy movie. I just saw the name and found the description decent enough, so I decided to watch it. I didn’t even know until I searched for it on google(to write this review) that it’s a comedy movie.

It’s a family movie. More specifically, it’s a superhero movie for children. The film’s plot is a father who decides to help his daughter with his newly found superpowers when some goons were troubling her for the restaurant land. Shim Eun-Kyung plays the role of Shin Roo-mi, the daughter& Ryu Seung-Yong plays the role of Shin Suk-hun, the father.

Psychokinesis definitely has some funny moments, but to be honest, I found it silly. The makers focused more on building the story plot, I guess. More than half of the movie was slow and felt like drama. Although the acting was at par, all the actors did their best is all I could say. About the action part, it has some action at the end. I expected more as the description said ‘supernatural powers.’

Maybe it was an audience-specific movie, that’s why I didn’t like it. Also, when you watch using subtitles, some value is lost in translation. Coming to the ratings, I would rate it 5 out of 10. And I think children might love this movie, but it was definitely not for me.
