Greenland Movie Review: A Disaster Movie That Feels Real

Greenland movie is about an average American family who must race against time to survive a comet that can potentially wipe out humans from the face of the earth.

John Garrity(Gerard Butler) is a structural engineer and a father to a boy- Nathan Garrity, who is diabetic. It is not clear what Allison Garrity( Nathan’s Mother) does. But, she has a strained relationship with John, the reason being told in the movie ahead.

The news about Comet gets real soon enough as one of the Comet strikes their neighborhood and leads to panic among the family and neighbors. But, a special message from the United Nations Government to the Garrity family comes as a relief.

Supposedly, a few people have been selected to be transported to a safe haven based on their skills!

The tensions escalate pretty quickly from there, and will the Garrity family be able to make it to the safe location forms the rest of the story.

Greenland offers something more than a movie. It shows you the limits people are ready to cross when faced with such survival conditions. Therefore, this movie is pretty realistic and focuses more on the human side of the apocalypse than on the apocalypse itself.

As of today, Greenland is not available on any streaming services. But it is going to release soon on Netflix, I think so. So, you can wait, or you can ask a friend if he/she has it (from somewhere).

Greenland was initially released in Denmark on 11 August 2020. And it was available to watch in the United States from 18 December 2020.
