Ok, I just finished watching this Hindi short film, and I really cannot decide ‘How to write about it?’ It’s a romantic short film starring Rajat Kapoor & Ritabhari Chakraborty. The story is based on the student-professor/teacher relationship. So, there’s this girl Pari, who is kind of depressed. Her professor, Anand sir, notices this and decides to help her.
I think it’s very predictable. Yes, Anand helps her, and Pari gets infatuated to her.
I mean, this is very common. Haven’t we seen a similar story in ‘Savdhaan India’ and ‘Crime Patrol’ TV show? This was the exact thought that was running on my mind while watching this short film. The only difference is someone dies in Savdhaan India, but here no one died. A happy ending.
The only thing that I can take away from this film is -having feelings for someone, especially someone elder/younger to you is ok unless it becomes an obsession. I guess we all had a crush on one of our school teachers? Haven’t we? I think it’s not a big issue unless we make it. We fall in love, we get hurt, and then we learn. This is the cycle, right? I am no good at relationships.
But we live in India where you get trolled for marrying a man younger to you. I don’t want to start a debate but would like to say a thing ‘Age is just a number.’ I have talked to people who are younger than me but more sensible, I must admit.
About the film, the acting could have been better to bring out the message more clearly—so, an average experience. I wouldn’t rate it, it’s just if you feel like watching it watch it otherwise just skip it. It wouldn’t make a difference.
