Post travel depression is a real thing..

Have you ever felt sad the day after you return from a trip that you enjoyed very much?

Today is that day for me!

The whole day I have been scrolling my phone – watching reels, checking the photos of the trip again and thinking about how good it was.

Also, stating it as ‘depression’ is kinda extreme but still there is much sadness. Sadness that seems to stay for hours.

Though my legs hurt like hell, still I would choose to do another trek right now than sit at home doing nothing!

I posted the same thing on Reddit and am glad to know that it is not just me and most people feel the same too.

It’s like we don’t want the good time to end anytime soon.

We want to feel that ‘feeling’ for a very long time; and are willing to do what it takes. Like, I am ready to do another trek RIGHT NOW!

As one of the reddit comments said “what humans were made for and what we have done to us.”

Right now, most of the things like – earning money, building your career seems unimportant to me. What I want to prioritize right now is exploration, peace, and living far-far away from people.

Somewhat like “into the wild” movie.

Away from consumerism, materialism…

It’s a far-fetched idea but I would love to do it…someday

aali trek

This feeling is great, so I just wanted to jot it down here for a future me to read it and smile someday.
