Watching Everything is Fine will be the best 15 minutes you spend today

I was scrolling through youtube, watching random videos. I don’t why, but youtube recommended this short film, ‘Everything is fine.’ The total duration of the video was 17 minutes approx. As I was just sitting idle and was in a mood to watch some videos, I decided to watch this.

The story is straightforward, but it has a profound message which the audience needs to infer himself/herself. Now, first I would like you to watch it because I’m gonna discuss it afterward. If you haven’t watched it, please don’t read any further because it will spoil the story for you. Don’t worry; I will embed the video here itself.

Before starting any further, I am assuming you too liked the film as much as I did.

I learned about the mental stress most of the women are facing or vice versa. Talking about this one, here, a mother can be seen suppressing her desires at every point just to obey her husband. We all have seen this thing at one point, but we just casually ignore it.

All her life, she had been suppressing her desires, sometimes for her husband and sometimes for her children. When will she live life the life she had imagined?

Also, it shows how we, as a husband or a child, are at fault. The girl in the film, instead of showing support, raised questions to her mother only. And do I even need to talk about the husband? I don’t think he is also aware of how his behavior is causing stress to his wife. The constant nagging and humiliations are just another fun activity for him.

Mansi Nirmal Jain, the producer, has shown us something ubiquitous. It is something that demands to be discussed and resolved! We should always check on our behavior because we really don’t know how our actions may cause mental stress to someone.

So Let’s ask our mothers, “How are You?” and listen to an answer that we have never heard before!
