Why we get obsessed with some good movies and keep thinking about them?

I have a personal experience that I would like to share related to the same issue(not a problem anymore).

I remember watching this Bollywood movie, ‘Masaan.’ While watching, I had several things going on in my mind. I guess I was trying to predict what would happen next.

To be honest, I failed miserably.

But soon, the movie got exciting, and now I was deeply engrossed in it. The only thing that I cared about at that moment was the story and its characters. Somehow I was there in that reel world, feeling what the characters were feeling.

I had no sense of time while watching it. But when it ended, I was sad because I know those hours will never be back. Even if I watch it twice, I wouldn’t be feeling the same joy I felt the first time.

Days passed. Months passed. Even years passed, but still whenever someone asks me about some,’ Good Indian Movies,’ I wholeheartedly recommend this one and talk about it to make sure the person watches this masterpiece!

If you haven’t watched this one, let me give you a few reasons to watch this.

So the answer to this question is, ‘it’s ok to get obsessed with a good movie. That’s the identity of a good film, isn’t it?

Don’t have this thought, ‘Why do you think about that movie ?’ Just live in that moment, admire the beauty of cinema and then share it, recommend it to someone who loves that genre!

There’s a whole genre of movies based on the sole purpose that it should make the audience think about it even after completion of the film. The genre is called Neo-Noir. For example, Oldboy(2003) & Point Break. I love this genre, and it’s one of my favourites.

Finally, I think this question needs to be reframed a bit. In my opinion, it’s not an obsession, after all, it’s admiration!
