El Camino is a treat for Breaking Bad fans

Hey Folks. So, I have finished watching Breaking Bad yesterday. I know I am late to this party but better late than never. Now I understand why Breaking Bad has a 9.4 rating on IMDB? (Although this was one of the primary reason I started it). I will not talk about the series here; instead, we will be discussing the Breaking Bad movie ‘El Camino.’ El Camino is a Spanish word that translates to ‘the way.’

So, after the final episode of Breaking Bad, we know Jesse survives, and Mr. White (of course) dies. El Camino is about Jesse trying to find “his way out” after all that has happened. And I think that’s why the name of the movie is ‘El Camino.’ The name of Jesse’s red Chevrolet is ‘El Camino,’ which he drives out to the desert, as seen in the trailer.

The movie is shot with frequent flashbacks to the past, which shows Jesse’s time as a prisoner. The flashbacks are beautifully related to the present time and help in connecting the missing dots easily.

One particular thing that I liked about the movie is that Vince Gilligan didn’t extend the story. Like he could have added about Mr. White’s family, but he didn’t. I was shocked to see that Mr. White’s family is not even mentioned in the movie. He just stuck to Jesse and his story.

This movie is like a treat for Breaking Bad fans. I watched it just after I completed the season. But now I think I would have loved it even more if I had waited a year so. You know, Patience is a Virtue.

Good movie, good ending, and now I am kind of sad that this journey has finally ended.

In Jesse’s words,’Yo, I’m gonna miss Breaking Bad, bitch’!
