So, let’s talk about ‘the Bhai‘ of Bollywood today. No, not about the controversies around him. We will talk about movies only. I haven’t watched many of his films because they’re entertainers only. But I think these are the best few films in his career.
I will arrange the movies in descending order, i.e., the most watchable comes first.
Tere Naam
I usually prefer acting and story over anything. And acting vice this is the best Salman Khan movie that you can watch. It was released in the year 2003 and had that iconic theme song ‘Tere Naam.’ Overall, this movie has some sorrowful songs, a delight for ‘Broken-hearts’ around here. Anyway, Salman Khan plays the role of badass ‘Radhe’ in the film. He falls in love with a first-year college girl, ‘Nirjara.’ However, due to some gang rivalries, someone pops his head, and he becomes mentally unstable(Classic Bollywood style of losing memory).
I also liked this movie because of the hairstyle of ‘Radhe.’ I believe people followed that hairstyle for a long time.
This movie has a tragic ending, another not so common thing in Bollywood. So, Overall, it’s a good watch.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
This film is called a revival movie. I had lost my faith in Salman Khan by now. I read critics’ reviews about how bad his recent movies were: Prem Ratan Dhan Paiyoo, Tubelight, or Jai ho. Till today I haven’t watched PRDP & Tubelight. But I watched Jai Ho, courtesy of Star Gold India. Anyway, this was a good one because it had the story and acting. And of course, a happy ending because why not?
I remember my Mom asking me to show this movie to her. And I was like, really, is it that good?’ So, I watched it first; then, my Mom watched it too.
Andaaz Apna Apna
I mean, who can forget the iconic character of Crime Master Gogo Or Teja? This film is also one of the must-watch movies of Salman Khan. Although there were other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Karishma Kapoor & Raveena Tandon, to name a few. Salman Khan is still in the lead, so I had to put this on the list.
The plot is Amar & Prem are from middle-class families. Both of them are competing to win over Raveena, who is the daughter of a millionaire.
It’s funny and can be rewatched after a certain amount of time.
Ek Tha Tiger
Ek Tha Tiger is a spy action-adventure movie. The film stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead role. It has a decent story with a few plot twists and action scenes. It was also one of the highest-grossing movies of the year.
Dabangg
It’s an entertainer with dialogues and Bollywood action scenes. I am more into acting, so that’s why even the biggest superhit comes last on my list. I have watched only the first part because usually in Bollywood, only the first part is watchable.
Wanted
Wanted is a crime movie released in the year 2009. I watched it as a kid and found it very violent. But it’s okay; it has this little suspense in the end, which makes the movie overall worth the watch.
I really cannot say about the second and third parts as I have not watched them, but someone told me they’re just mediocre at best.
Sadly, these are the only watchable movies by Salman Khan. So, if you’ve not watched his movies, try these only. Otherwise, you are surely going to waste your time.
