I was so excited about watching a movie yesterday and ended up watching ‘The Babysitter.’ Literally I am writing this movie-review out of frustration!
Directed by McG, ‘The Babysitter’ is a 2020 Netflix Horror-Comedy movie. It was released on 10th September 2020, on Netflix. The genre of the movie is Horror-Comedy, but neither I got scared, nor I laughed in the entire duration of the film. The plot of the story is – Cole, a high school student, after defeating a blood-cult two years ago, had to outwit the evil forces once again.
One of the reasons I didn’t like this movie at all is I haven’t watched the first part of the film. Still, I understood the story in the first twenty minutes. It started well, but then there were so many plot holes in the story. It was as if the director was trying to live up to the genre. And ended up making something very horrible to watch. The horror scenes were pathetic, and the comedy sequence were lame af.
The only reason you can bear this movie is (although you should not) the female leads are HOT. I believe the director knew with a lame plot like this, the only thing that could save this movie is to cast hot female leads. And Voila, it worked as of today, its IMDB rating is 6. But, I am damn sure it will go down to 4 or maybe 3.
I read a few other reviews on google, too, and I can say people loved the first part more. And for many, like myself it was a sheer DISAPPOINTMENT!
