Widows is a 2018 American crime thriller film directed by Steve McQueen and written by Gillian Flynn and McQueen. The film follows the widows of four armed robbers after their husbands are killed during a bank heist. They are pressured to continue their deceased husbands’ plan and pull off the heist themselves.
I too didn’t knew about this film but when I saw Liam Neeson in the movie poster, I decided to give it a try. Although, if you’re a Liam Neeson fan just like me, you will be disappointed because the screentime of Liam Neeson is almost negligible.
Talking about the movie, in one word it’s – GOOD.
What I really loved about Widows is how the story moves forward? It captures the emotions of 4 widowed women who are now forced to pay the money their husbands had taken from someone.
Also, there are enough twists in the movie so you will not get bored.
I want to tell more but since this is a thriller, it will ruin the “Thrill” for you! So, if you cannot find any thing on Amazon Prime Video to watch, try watching Widows! This movie is definitely worth your time.
So, till next time, stay hooked & if you have already watched this movie, do tell me in the comment section below.
